KAL in progress pictures.
Let’s get ready for a KAL. I am so excited to get this started and hope we have a large group playing along. How about a infinity cowl/scarf, I know everyone is doing the cowls these days and I think you should have one too.
Things you will be doing( or learning), kitchner in the round, jogless stripes, two handed fair isle, and patience. I will put up videos and or pictures to show you how I do it and give you links to other ways. One other thing for those that want to join in the swap part, oh I didn’t tell you about that yet. Well, you know how my thoughts go these days. One more thing I saw a picture of a striped cowl/scarf and decided to make my own. For those of you that want a pattern to print out here is Rayures by Amy Miller. I saw a cowl that was so pretty and it happened the lady wearing it had knitted it using this pattern. I thought I would just make mine up as I went along.
A swap of yarn, it must be in the same family of yarn. Let me see if I can explain better, wool with wool, fingering weight with fingering weight and so on. If we have enough people signed up we might even have Madelinetosh with Madelinetosh. You will have to sign up under the one you want to make so we can get a grouping of same oz/gm of yarn to send out.
Now I am going to show you the one I am working on, only 4 rows to go. I also think you should have options, stripes, color blocks, and fair isle for the adventurous knitter ( I will put up a few charts each session on the KAL site and that way you don’t have to hunt one or design one).
When to start? How about January, 2016? Are you ready?
